Day 1- Monday, 5th October

Ho Chi Minh City: Orientation

  • Closed-door orientation outlining Vietnam’s national strategy and TNE models.
  • Structured overview of the Vietnamese landscape, trends, and recent changes.
  • Late lunch or dinner with Consulates and Education USA.

Day 2- Tuesday, 6th October

Ho Chi Minh City: Setting the Scene

  • Pre-Networking Session on labor shortages.
  • Networking event with Executive Search Companies and HR Directors from Multinational Corporations (MNCs).

Day 3- Wednesday, 7th October

Ho Chi Minh City: Private Universities

  • Private institution meetings in Ho Chi Minh City (e.g., HUTECH Group, Nguyen Tat Thanh University).
  • Travel to Hanoi this evening.

Day 4- Thursday, 8th October

Hanoi: Government and Institutions

  • Proposed government meetings with the International Cooperation Department (ICD) of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).
  • Proposed roundtable meeting with TNE Empowerment Network members (12 public & private universities).

Day 5- Friday, 9th October

Hanoi: Individual Public Institutions

  • Private K-12 school visits (e.g., Dewey Highschool, True North School).
  • Program Wrap-Up, Debrief, and Strategic Takeaways.
  • Transfer to Hanoi airport. Departure.
  • University & Academic Partnerships: Engage in curated meetings with Vietnamese public and private university faculty to explore collaboration in research, student mobility, and joint programs.
  • Policy, Government & Embassy Relations: Participate in high-level engagement with Education USA, the US Embassy, and the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education & Training to understand policy direction and bilateral education priorities.
  • Market Intelligence & Creation of Business/Industry Links: Gain essential insights and establish necessary ties with decision-makers through interaction with independent counselors, alumni, and local partners across key cities.
  • Development Organizations: Meet with the Vietnam TNE Empowerment Network to gain knowledge on efforts to ‘normalize’ TNE programs.
